2025 Kaleidoscope Student Author Brunch This year, we’re excited to celebrate our student authors with a special presentation by Emmy Kastner, a talented author and illustrator of children's books such as So Tortoise Dug (2025), While You’re Asleep, and A Very Big Fall. Emmy, a former high school teacher, co-founded the youth writing center Read and Write Kalamazoo (RAWK), which is dedicated to amplifying youth voices through reading and writing. She lives in Kalamazoo, Michigan with her family and spends her days writing and creating art in her studio above their family-owned coffee shop. This is a ticketed student event.
