Alyce Hartman is a dedicated urban educator and curriculum developer with over ten years of experience in teaching and the non-profit sector. She specializes in early language, literacy, and diverse and culturally relevant literature for children and young adults. She teaches STEAM at Detroit Prep and is the Founder and Executive Director of Birdie's Bookmobile.Birdie's Bookmobile is committed to eradicating book deserts and improving literacy outcomes across Metro Detroit. Our mission is to provide free access to high-quality, diverse, culturally relevant books that foster a lifelong love of reading and create a more equitable literary landscape.
