Carol Ann Paul is the Manager of State and Federal Programs and Special Populations at Wayne RESA, bringing over 20 years of experience in education. With a career spanning elementary through collegiate levels, she has held key roles including Reading Specialist, Executive Director of Student Achievement, and Educational Improvement Consultant. Carol Ann’s work with multilingual learners at Henry Ford College has earned her two Michigan Literacy Awards, and her juvenile chapter book promoting friendship won a Mom’s Choice Award.
A passionate advocate for equitable access to educational resources, she believes in the potential of every child to succeed. Carol Ann completed her doctoral dissertation in 2023, focusing on emergency remote teaching, and continues to work on projects that support families and youth experiencing homelessness, address chronic absenteeism, and implement trauma-informed practices. She is also involved in Comprehensive School Threat Assessment and Implementation Science, striving to improve educational outcomes for all students.
